We Make A Case For Socks and Sandals

Approaching the subject of wearing socks with sandals can be contentious to say the least. Not since Birkenstocks became a must have in every fashionable wardrobe have sandals been at the centre of such a heated debate. Undeniably, it’s a relatively high risk (yet high reward) trend to try to pull off.

This trend really isn’t something that can be done by halves, so make it work by enjoying the novelty and going all out. Pair glittery socks with girly clogs, or create a whimsical juxtaposition by pairing metallic mules with soft, gauzy socks against a double denim ensemble.

Our only word of caution when rocking socks and sandals is to opt for lower heels, or something with a strap - the unfortunate impracticality of this trend is that socks make slipping out of a pair of heels more likely.
