Unexpected Colour Pairings To Refresh Your Wardrobe

Untitled-1.jpg

Don’t get us wrong - we love black and white - but sometimes you just want something a little bit different. Try these slightly left-of-field colour combos to shake up your style this weekend, and give your favourite pieces a lift in new and unexpected outfits.

1. Pink and Teal

Keep the look dreamy with long, floaty silhouettes, or grunge it down with some denim added in; think a teal skirt with a pink sweater worn with an oversized, beaten-up denim jacket. Opt for muted tones to keep the look modern, then balance the colours with gold accessories to warm up the palette of the outfit.

2. Silver and Blue

Add texture here with fluffy jumpers juxtaposed against shimmering metallics. Instead of royal blue, opt for a more subdued tone to keep the colours from fighting against each other. Think a desaturated sky-blue. If you’re a bit unsure about committing, add in a neutral, such as white or denim to break up the look.

3. Yellow and Orange

Harking back to when colour blocking first entered the sartorial spotlight, keep lines and silhouettes long to give a relaxed edge to a bold look. Go for joyful dollops of colour with bright yellow and orange, or take the outfit in a more subtle direction with the colours set apart in prints.
